Company Profile

Kim Abernathy-Young, DVM graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002.  She interned at Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital in Lexington, KY from 2002-2003.  Currently, she is a solo equine practitioner in the Western KY area.  She is also a member of the American Association of Equine Practitioners

We offer many services at Kentucky Lake Equine.  We schedule appointments in the clinic as well as on the farm.  Client education and communication are key to the success of equine veterinary medicine.  We treat our patients as if they were our own.  To learn more about our services, please contact us.
